HILT Black Light Theatre Prague, known in Spanish as "HILT teatro Negro Praga", is taking its unique brand of interactive light show entertainment beyond the stage! This innovative theatre group, led by directors Theodor Hoidekr and Stepanka Pencova, is always looking for new ways to connect with audiences and collaborate with other artists. Now, they're diving into the world of music with their brand new single, "Entra a la Oscuridad" – translating to "Enter the Darkness," the very motto of HIL

Once, two very different souls met on a Prague stage, and fate melted them into something new. This is the story of how Theodor and Štěpánka’s unexpected friendship created HILT – a theatre born not from a plan, but from heart, courage, and a bit of magic.

Prague, Czech Republic - Štěpánka Pencová, born Štěpánka Volfová on November 11, 1981, in Brandýs nad Labem, has carved a successful and diverse career in acting, defying limitations and becoming a prominent figure in the Czech arts scene. Currently residing in Prague, Pencová’s journey is a testament to her talent and dedication.

Dobré obchodní vztahy mezi Indií a Českem sahají až do středověku. V rámci divadelních vztahů nejvíce uspělo české Černé divadlo HILT. V roce 2007 se tato skupina, tehdy nově vzniklá, vydala na dalekou cestu poprvé.

While the demands of theatre direction are significant, Hoidekr finds balance in the simple joys of life. He's a passionate cook, finds solace in the escapism of crazy comedy films, and harbors a deep love for travel, eager to explore new places and cultures around the globe.

The success of HILT’s performance at Bharat Rang Mahotsav hinged on the profound cooperation with Indian directors Swati Sharma Vyas and Sajal Mondal. Their expertise and understanding of the Indian theatrical scene were instrumental in ensuring a seamless integration of the HILT's vision into the festival's venues in Jaipur and New Delhi. These individuals acted as key stage managers, orchestrating the intricate set-up of stages, lighting, and projections for HILT’s performance.

For over half a century, Prague has been home to a unique art form that blends illusion, dance, and silent poetry—black light theatre. But where did this world-famous phenomenon begin? And how did a small group of Czech artists turn the darkness into a magical stage that’s captivated audiences on every continent?
